Marianne Mueller AA Dipl ARB

Marianne was educated at the Technical University Darmstadt, Germany and the Architectural Association in London. She worked with ‘CHORA’ / Raoul Bunschoten and established ‘Mueller Kneer Associates / Architects’ with AA graduate Olaf Kneer 1997 in London.

The practice’s work has been reviewed extensively and been included in ‘1000x European Architectures’, FRAME’s ‘Night Fever’, Kieran Long’s ‘New London Interiors’ and Kasper König’s ‘AC/DC’ series. Its work has been shown at the Royal College of Art, the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, KulturRegion Stuttgart, URBIS in Manchester and the Foundation for Art and Creative Technology, (FACT) Liverpool.

In 2005 the practice has been recognised through the “AJ Corus 40 under 40 Award”, celebrating an emerging generation of architects in the UK and recently work has been selected for the XXIII UIA World Congress of Architects 2008.

Marianne has been teaching at the University of East London, School of Architecture and the Visual Arts since 1997. She was guest professor at the Technical University in Berlin, leading the chair of Design and Construction from 2004-2006. Marianne is now Unit Master at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London and Programme Director of AA Berlin Laboratory, which is part of the AA global visiting schools.
